Up-and-coming artist London Beck proves music only gets better with age as they return to the mic with a confident, intense, and sexy sound in Drift. Right off the bat, Beck throws us right into a futuristic dreamscape laced with an uninhibited lust in "Blood Moon". Crooning "Only on a blood moon /Would you even phase me", Beck boasts a swagger subtly emphasized on "Hell Hath No Fury," the opening act of their first mixtape, Blinded by Hunger. "4AM" is a bit more playful with this, yet candidly reminding us that Beck isn't here to all fun and games.

A vulnerability that we've only seen in the REVELATIONS EP's title track resurfaces in "Fantasy (Ego SH*t). Beck is so enamored by this force that has managed to captivate them, going as far as to declare that they're "offended that you get my virtue to / Part like the rolling sea - please."

Beck seethes with determination in the self-assured ending, "Daydream". An effortlessness has been unearthed in finding the stride they searched for in their past two releases. The finale professes, "Imma reach the top floor if it everything but kills me". Beck also seeks to pay homage to those who helped them continue their artistic journey, despite the personal hardships and tragedy that stood in the way.

Drift is the opus of an evolving artist ready to do what it takes to sit on the throne. At this pace, they are sure to inherent the kingdom.
